Independence from brands

No brand pays for placement, a favorable review, or a higher ranking on this site. We accept press samples for testing purposes only; receiving a sample never guarantees coverage or a positive result, and we say so on any page where a sample was used.

How commissions work

This financial relationship never determines which products we recommend or how we rate them — see our Affiliate Disclosure for full detail.

What we won't do

• We won't present a manufacturer's claim as our own finding.
• We won't publish a comparison or buying guide without disclosing whether the products in it have been independently tested.
• We won't remove a negative finding about a product because a brand asks us to.
• We won't fabricate a tester credential, a lab result, or a source.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction — we don't quietly edit a page and pretend the error never happened. See our Corrections page to report an issue.
